How Piecemarks chooses real place photography
Piecemarks starts with the place you enter, searches for photography connected to that place, and composes those images inside the letters of its name. The result is a personalized digital artwork, not a stock template with the city name pasted on top.
1. Place-specific search
We use the confirmed city and region to search for recognizable architecture, streets, landscapes, and local visual details. Larger destinations usually have deeper coverage. Smaller places may draw from the surrounding region when city-level photography is limited.
2. Real photography, selected automatically
The generator selects available photos and fits them into the letter shapes. You can change individual images and adjust their crop before buying. Selection is automated; we do not claim that every generated mural is manually curated.
3. Photography credit and licensing
Source photography is provided through Unsplash and remains subject to the Unsplash License. Photographer attribution is shown in the generator where source details are available. A Piecemarks purchase grants personal, non-commercial use of the finished digital composition under our Terms.
4. Preview, personalize, then export
You can preview the artwork without an account, choose among five styles, and personalize its imagery before checkout. The $4.99 purchase unlocks a high-resolution PNG suitable for personal printing up to 24 × 18 inches. Piecemarks does not ship a physical print.
What may vary
Photo availability, search results, and crops can change. That is why the generator always shows the actual composition before purchase. If a place has thin coverage, you can retry, select replacement photos, or use broader regional imagery.
